From Overworked Mom to Living My Purpose with FEG
Before FEG, my life was a blur of responsibilities. I was a full-time QA scientist for nine years, a wife, and a super busy mom with three little kids. My days were packed with piano lessons, dance classes, sports, and endless activities. On the outside, it looked like I was living the “American dream.” But on the inside, I was drained. I had no time for myself, no time to dream, and no vision for my future.
By my 30s, I had to face the truth—I wasn’t where I wanted to be. My husband worked in IT, and together we made good money, yet we were still living paycheck to paycheck. Every day felt the same: traffic jams, long hours, exhaustion. The harder I worked, the higher my boss climbed up the ladder, while I stayed stuck in place. I started to ask myself, Is this really all there is?
And then life shook me even harder. My mom was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer. I watched her go through painful treatments, quit her job, and drain her savings just to survive. My dad had to stop working to care for her. And when I looked at the “protection” they had in place, their life insurance policy was useless while she was alive—it only paid out after death. That’s when I realized… none of us had the right kind of life insurance. We didn’t even know that living benefits existed.
When I discovered living benefits, something lit up inside me. I thought: If my family had this, things could have been so different. I knew I couldn’t keep this to myself—I had to share it. That’s when my husband and I decided to join FEG part-time.
And everything changed.
With FEG, we built a business that reached across the nation. I was able to pay off all my student loans, give more support to my parents, and even contribute to my mom’s funeral. We built a brand-new home in Woodbury, where each of my kids now has their own room—decorated exactly the way they want. Seeing their joy, their pride in having a space of their own, reminded me of why we started.
Today, I’m no longer exhausted and stuck in someone else’s dream. I’m building my own. This isn’t just about financial freedom—it’s about fighting for families, protecting them from the pain mine went through, and creating a life filled with choices, not limitations.
That’s the power of FEG. And this is the crusade I’m on.
